Amaze Auto (〒591-8011 535-1 Minamihanada-cho, Kita-ku, Sakai-shi, Osaka) handles personal information in line with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
1. What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, address, country and any notes you give us when you book or contact us.
- Copies of your driver's license, International Driving Permit or license translation, and passport, which we must check before renting a car.
- Booking details: dates, places, the vehicle, payments, invoices, your signature on the rental agreement, and inspection photos of the car.
- Records arising from the rental, such as expressway (ETC) tolls and traffic or parking violations.
- Payments are handled by Stripe (cards) or PayPal. We receive the payment result, not your card number.
2. Why we use it
- To take and manage your booking, rent you the car, and contact you about it.
- To confirm you are legally allowed to drive in Japan.
- To issue invoices and receipts, and settle tolls, fuel, fines and other charges after the rental.
- To deal with accidents, damage and insurance claims.
- To reply to your enquiries.
- To meet our legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed for the purposes above, for example with Stripe or PayPal to take payment, with insurers in the event of an accident, and with the police or other authorities when the law requires it (for example for traffic or parking violations).
4. Cookies
This site uses one session cookie, which keeps your booking, login and language choice working. We do not use advertising cookies on these pages.
5. How we protect it
Your information is kept in our booking system, which only our staff can access.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, stop using or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@amazeauto.jp and we will reply within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
